Universities
The greater Raleigh area is very well known for it’s excellent universities…. and the sports rivalries that are a really fun part of the local community.
NC State University - NCSU, located in Raleigh, is the home of the Wolfpack and is known as a school of excellence in the fields of Engineering and Veterinarian Medicine.
University of North Carolina - UNC, home of the Tarheels, is another excellent state operated university and is located in Chapel Hill North Carolina. UNC has an excellent Business School, School of Journalism, and a School of Medicine and large teaching hospital.
Duke University - Duke, home of the Blue Devils, is a private university that is commonly referred to as the Harvard of the south. The Duke Fuqua School of Business is well respected around the world and turns out business leaders in all disciplines. Other well known departments are the Divinity School, Engineering School, and a teaching hospital and School of Medicine.
