First Floor Master Bedroom
First floor master bedrooms are popular. People like them because they pretty much put all the day to day living areas on the first floor. Older folks like a first floor master because it minimizes the need for stairs.
I get lots of calls for homes with a first floor master. I also get lots of calls for ranch style, or single level homes. I’ve always thought that first floor master bedrooms were easier to come by in Wake County than a ranch style home. So, I thought I would do a little research and see what’s available from the current selection of homes for sale in Wake County.
There are 8,501 homes listed for sale in Wake County in our MLS right now. There are 3,861 that have a first floor master. That’s 45% of the current inventory with a first floor master. There are 1,290 that are ranch style. That’s only 15% of current inventory.
That’s right in line with what I was expecting. Plenty of homes for sale in Wake County with a first floor master bedroom. Not so many are ranch style.
By the way, I just moved into my very first home with a first floor master last year. We are loving it! Just makes everything easier.
