Best FREE WiFi Coffee and Bagels in Wake Forest

Whenever I’m out and about in Wake Forest and need a place to grab a bite and use my laptop, Bruegger’s is the first place I think of.  The staff is friendly, the food and coffee are great, and the WiFi works flawlessly.  What more could you ask for?

The atmosphere is nice too.  Clean tables, fresh decor… it just feels comfortable.  And there’s plenty of inside and outside seating.

Bruegger’s is located in The Wakefield Commons shopping center near the Marquee Cinemas.  It technically has a Raleigh address, but is located where most locals would consider to be Wake Forest.

Heritage Lake Road Open to 98 Bypass - Finally!

Great news for anyone living in Heritage Wake Forest.  The long awaited opening of Heritage Lake Road has finally happened.  This new intersection is near the corner of Jones Dairy Road and the 98 Bypass and will cut some serious time off any trip out of Heritage going north.

Okay, well it will cut a few minutes off your trip.  But hey, a few minutes is serious time when you’re in a hurry. It can also save some time getting in the neighborhood if you don’t want to mess with all the trafic on Main Street and Rogers Road.

Now if we can get the new shopping center on that corner with the Lowes Food and Ace Hardware open we’ll be all set!

heritage wake forest marqueeI haven’t written about Heritage lately.  Maybe that’s because I have been so busy getting settled in my brand new Heritage home!  That’s right.  In the midst of the so called housing slump, I chose to move.  Mainly because there has never been a better time to buy a home in the Triangle area at such a great price.  And mortgage rates are very low now too.  It just made sense to me.

Here’s the sign at the project site.

There will be a good sized pond with paved walking trails, playground equipment, and two areas that look like some kind of dock. One is covered and the other is not. There also looks like a general recreational area being laid out on the other side of the pond.

New Lots, a Park, and a Pond at Heritage Wake Forest

heritage marqueI was just out at the sales center for Heritage Wake Forest and found out about some exciting new developments. If you’ve always wanted to be in this awesome community and were afraid it might sell out before you were ready, fear not.

In addition to the 121 new construction homes in inventory right now and the 67 re-sale homes, over 200 brand new lots have just been released. Opportunities for new homes for sale in Heritage will be going on for a while.

The other neat thing I found out is there is a brand new park with a very nice pond feature that is just about complete. I drove by it and it will be an really nice park area for the neighborhood. I didn’t have time for photos, but I promise to take some in the next few days and write another article.

What’s the Realtor’s opinion?

I’ve sold in this neighborhood and showed homes here many times. My clients could not have been happier with their choice. The construction quality is very good and the floor plans feature all the things so many buyers are looking for these days, such as open living area, large master suites, and large gourmet kitchens. As previously mentioned, the lots tend to run on the large side with quite a few trees all around.

Wake Forest is a growing community with lots of amenities such as restaurants, shopping, parks, theaters, and more! Give me a call, or email me, if you would like any additional information on this great neighborhood.

Wake Forest Getting New Public Park | Joyner Park

Joyner ParkBack in 2003 the town of Wake Forest purchased 117 acres of farm land on Harris Road, just west of downtown.  Construction will begin early this year on what promises to be a unique destination for local residents.

The park is scheduled to an amphitheater, an outdoor performance space, and a garden area.  The performance area will offer an intimate setting for poetry reading and small symphony groups while the amphitheater will have lawn seating for about 1,000 people.  Plans for the amphitheater include concerts and possibly the home of the popular Six Sundays in Spring concert series.

The project also calls for the restoration of several existing farm buildings.  There will be a stone wall and a log cabin on the grounds as well as three miles of walking trails.

The whole project will be done is several phases. Phase 1 is funded with $750,000 in grants and $3.5 million in bond money.
