We’re known for lots of things here in the greater Raleigh, North Carolina area. One of those things is great health care. We have two major teaching hospitals, two large private hospitals, and a large VA hospital all within the general area.
There are many opportunities for finding the health care you need, or employment in the health care field, in the Raleigh area. Here are links to resources for each major medical center.
Duke University Health Systems
The Duke University Health System is one of the two area teaching hospitals and is headquartered in Durham, NC. Duke has locations in 28 cities across North Carolina with major hospitals in Raleigh as well as Durham.
The University of North Carolina Health Care System is the other teaching hospital in our area. This is a major medical facility that specializes in many areas of medicine.
Rex Healthcare is one of two very large private hospitals in the Raleigh area. Rex has recently partnered with UNC to expand services and to create a focus on cancer treatments.
Wake Medical Center the other private area hospital. This is a well established Raleigh hospital with a very well known Heart Center, Emergency & Trama facility, and Women’s and Children’s Pavillion.
A very large regional Vetran’s Administration Hospital located in nearby Durham, NC.
