You're right, some of the things the subs do just don't make any sense. You would think they would learn after a while that poor workmanship, when inspected by a professional, or even a home owner who knows what they are looking at, will just have to be done over. I was watching how the subcontractors were working on a site the other day, while the builder was trying to oversee a situation at another home.
